About the owners.

Direct Property Buyers is owned and operated by two local Cantabrians. Glen in his late 40’s and Louis in his late 30’s have both ran & owned successful motels and backpackers businesses in Christchurch for several years before, through and after the earthquakes.

We both value family, friendship, honesty, hard work & top notch customer service. We also love helping people getting into real estate whether that is by encouraging people when buying their first home or their first investment property.

Having worked really hard, long days, weeks and sometimes months without breaks in the hospitality industry we decided it was time for a change. We needed to find a job with more flexibility to achieve a better life / work balance. Between us we have 30 years combined experience in real estate as property investor. So, after several meetings we worked out that we have amassed a fair amount of knowledge in running a business, customer service and real estate. We thought it was time to capitalised on our passion & knowledge in real estate to try build our dream job, have fun but also help people along the way.

Our history.

In 2017 we created Direct Property Buyers Ltd. Our main aim is to provide a solution for many kiwis trying to sell their biggest asset by offering a fast, hassle free, and more importantly paying a fair and reasonable price for your home. Our experience in the hospitality industry taught us that integrity, reputation & referrals are key to success for any business. Therefore, we have in place short, medium and long term plans for our company that would see us through until our children take over the business in 30 + years.

We will facilitate the whole process of selling your property by tailoring a solution that fits your situation and the purpose of your sale. No commission, no open homes, no agent fees. In some cases, after we’ve done an assessment we can recommend or suggest the right avenue to sell your property if your property doesn’t fit our criteria. We define ourselves as a boutique company for the reason that rather than doing transactions on a large scale we like to deal with each property and individual on a personalised basis, hence, our approach and management aligns to this also. Generally speaking, we tend to buy properties that we can add value to by renovating, subdivide, build new or in many cases we will buy and hold the property as a long term investment property.
